紅白の牡丹が咲き誇っています。赤い花は一見、闇に沈んでいるかのようですが、陰に浮かぶ後ろの花やつぼみを見ていると、次第に背景の空間が立ち上がります。すると、油彩画の伝統的な明暗表現による赤い牡丹が陰翳の中から輝き始めます。
Red and white peonies are in full bloom. At first glance, the red flowers seem to sink into the darkness, but as you observe the flowers and buds in the shadows behind them, the background space gradually emerges. Then, the red peonies, depicted with traditional chiaroscuro in oil painting, begin to shine from within the shadows.
